I hate to be negative in a congratulatory post, but a big fish like that shouldn't be held horizontally by the jaw without other support.

Hey we'll I always use live biat or dead bait.. Catch some blue gill... not real big ones... and some shad... not real huge shad but medium sized ones... put them on live... hook them just a little bit below their fin... have a cork rig set up cast out wait ... if you got a shad on they will swim around with the cork... if you et a fish on your cork will go under and your pole will bend hard... i fish for em in the morning early hours around 5 am - noon... but figure it would be just as good if not better in the afternoon-evening time

I'm going out again tonight.. this is the second time i've soley put it to my head to throw a black/blue jig with a red/curly tail worm end has a trailer... and this is the second time i've caught fish like this... i only caught 1 this time but he was a monster... last time I caught 14 fish ranging from 3-5 pounds each... for some reason around 6-7 pm when the water calms... the fish bite in the brush
