Default Well, I may be taking the Fly Rod Tommorow

On a combo day. I am going to be fishing a bass pond near a trout stream. I may have to try my hand at both. Seeing as it is still fall bassin' they should be hitting topwater, if not I can rely on an old streamer I guess. BTW, anyone know flies that are effective this time of year for bass and for trout?

Pretty cold for topwater in New Jersey I would imagine but whatever works. Tell us how that trout stream pays off. I got some little lakes around here that have trout in them for the winter. I am going to try them this winter probably.

Yeah, I was more or less hoping to go trouting, been along time since I went, and this stream is small, no one really fishes it, and I know a couple good holes, long walks, but good holes. Plus trout get active in the cold. I hope it pays off.

Powerbass, Match the hatch on your fly lure.Turn over rocks in the stream to see what you have . You can always use a streamer fly to immitate a minnow or a beaded nymph seems to produce trout year round when I fly fished alot.I don't know if you use a strike indicator but I find them handy to use.P N J

I may have to put a small shot on the nymphs I have now, I dont have beadheads, and I am not to sure what a strike indicator is, I am new to fly fishing.
