Default Texas Stock Tank

Well I finally got an opportunity to do a little fishing. My wife was going to a baby shower, so I tagged along because the people hosting the shower have a pretty good tank out back. I caught 34 bass in a little over 5 hours. I would like to thank Reb with providing me with the spinner-baits that landed 29 of them. I also broke off two on the same baits. I think my average fish was 2 1/2 pounds. I never caught a small one all day. I don't know where the small fish are in this tank. It was weird. I kept catching all of these solid chunks and all the while I was wishing for a big one. Not that I was complaining too loudly, my thumbs are still cut up.

AND CAUGHT THEM ON MY SPINNERBAITS?!!??!!??

Just kidding, buddy! Glad you had a great day and I'm really glad my spinnerbaits worked so well. You didn't have to worry about lipping a gator, did you ?

No gators at that tank. I asked before I went down there. This one was south of Hallettsville, and I was staying with relatives. But I now have a standing invitation. And I will have a little aluminium boat in the next couple of weeks.

Nitro, that is way cool. My husbands aunt and uncle have a small pond on their new property. We were catching tiny bass, about 8-10 inches long probably not even 1/2 pound each, ever few casts. It was alot of fun.

Default half pound this year

Hey Gal-

In your climate, those 8-10 inchers will be 12-14 inchers next year. That's a size most can really enjoy catching. Lucky girl.

Default Response to - "Senior, where you been"

Thanks for your welcoming words. Since by disappearance I have-

opened a new business
taken an extended vacation to western Europe
bought a '55 Studebaker, '53 Nash and '75 Citroen 2cv
had an affair with a BBW
dug a new goldfish pond
cured my recurring hemorrhoid problem - diet
lost more of my hair
calmed my urge to murder everyone who claims to love manatees
ceased selling cars to anyone who is NOT an illegal Mexican
sold, bought, sold, bought, sold and bought a different house

I'd go into detail but, as you see, its just been the same things that happen to everyone. Nothing new.

How's the wife? Any new titanium ball joints or tie rod ends lately?

Default trying my new signature

The manatee is currently at its highest ever recorded population and the non-thinking tree huggers continue to refer to it as "endangered". Their existence is based on unnatural winter areas that are mostly nuclear and fossil fuel power plant, warm water outflows. They are responsible for "grazing" sea grass beds to near non-existence particularly in their concentrated wintering areas. The damage done to shrimp and fin-fish brood stocks is immeasurable, but it is currently "politically incorrect" to even discuss the truths that surround this issue.

The preceding bullstuff was fill-in for me to test my new signature. Thanks for your indulgence.
