Default Lake Fork Report From Guide Jim Reaneau

Well, the fishing was pretty good in the first part of the week but Dec. 22 2005 was tough. This morning it was 29 degrees and foggie and wind blowing like crazy. In my boat it was tough. We fished deep and shallow and mid range but in a half day we missed two fish and had four light bites. The water temp was 46 degrees every where I went. It was hard to move around even with GPS. The deep areas I could get to there were no bait or fish. The sun finally came out and this was no help. With the warming days coming this weekend the fishing should pick up. Shallow with red lipless crank baits has been RED HOT. Look for grass and work it very good and sloooow.
The lake is 4 feet low so be careful.
I wish all a very Merry Christmas
