It's boat show season here in WI and just went to one this past weekend. Highly considering the 175 Eagle G3 Mod-V aluminum. Just looking for opinions, pros, and cons that may exist out there. Looking to finalize a deal of some kind in late April.

U got it perfectly right. Took a demo ride and steer in a G3 at the Ronald McDonald tourney preliminary this year and to say I was impressed is a understatement. Cant recall the model but it was the biggest of there hulls powered by a 225Hpdi. Excellant holeshot, stable, predictable boat when on plane and pretty damn quick. On GPS reached 72mph and was tourney loaded. Couldnt beleive I was running a can boat and actually enjoying it. Very comfortable, lots of room, well laid out decks and storage. As far as fishing didnt get to fish but did stop the boat and walk around the sides with very little to no listing and even acted like I set the hook. Pretty rock solid boat. I would give it a 5star rating as far and that doesnt happen with many boats to me. Another thing I really like was the price. Tourney boat ready for big water at entry level glass boat prices. Cant beat that.

Ifn your interested in buying go to a dealer for G3 boats and talk to him. I can just about bet that he will order you a hull with all the trimmings minus the motor. Yhen all you gotta do is hunt up a merc dealer that will hang a black beauty off the transom. MOST boat dealers will do this.

Yea I know they are owned by Yammie but Stratos, HydroSport, and Javelin where as well owned by a sister company of OMC. Dont know if they still owned by Bomardier but you could order a hydrosport or a stratos (not sure about the jav) sans the motor and have someone put a merc or other choice of motor on.

Pics man where's the pics of the new bass ride. Even though Im a merc man the fast strike motors turned some real nice numbers on the hulls I've had experience with and from earlier posts everyone knows I do like the champions hulls. TOTAL performing hulls imho,

Appears to have been taken pretty good care of. Real nice colors. Always hae like the darker colored boats. After you get some seat time post up some numbers on the performance side.

saw an 19 foot express with a 200 vmax saturday. hole shot was g-forceable. planed out in less than 2 boat lenths and was haulin a$$. that was with 2 guys and tourny load..turned like it was on rails. every body was fighting the wind he seemed to have no problem with the wind pushing him around. this boat actually resembles a gambler..

I've got to take the wife out in her or the maiden voyage of course. Reasons many of you can understand I'm sure.
Thanks for the compliments. I got lucky in that the 2 previous owners were meticulous with her and cared for her like a member of the family. |
