treble in the foot

well im sittin here typing this while ther is a razor sharp treble on the bottom of right big toe.it hurts like a mother.and its deep.touching the hook is probbally equivalent to the pain of getting hit by a paintball.thats just touching it.my parents have a flight to catch,ny grandparents will be here in two hours what do i do. i mean i already tried to pull with needle nose pliers as haard as i could but that barrb is deep.i was screeming like a baby.never had more pain in my life

so youre sitting here and typing??? whatever... well from the course of CPR 1 i took, id say you should keep it in there to stop the blood loss, then put some crumpled tissue tightly to both sides of the hook. then, wrap both sides with gauze to stop it from moving. call a doctor, and they can take it out. probably have to cut it out. is it just a treble, are all three hooks stuck in you, is it rusty, and is there a lure on it?

last night i put some lures and other fishing stuff into a smaller tackle box that i use when i go somewhere.one of the hooks must of fell out and i stepped on it. not rusty

alright, but did you call a doctor? theyd probably have to cut the thing out if the hook is as well stuck as you say it is

Uh if you have gotten it out and haven't had a shot in a while I think you should still get one.... my dad got stuck with a dropshot hook in the finger in a tourney we won about 3 years ago..luckly it was during the last hour.. We went to the Emergency room and it cost him 300 dollars to get a shot.. Don't recommend going there.. too expensive.. get one from a doctor.

if you ant got it out by now, let sum one tie 50 # line to it an throw you out in the pond an try to cath a troffie bass with you. im jest joken...If it aint infeketed by now, push the barb thru and cut tha shank, an pull it out, it wil hurt, but not as much if you leve it there. put sum hydroigeoin perroxioide on it to clene it up and put a ban daide on the skare. im a part time doktur too. an i aint charggeing you fur this. good luck

OUCH. daang man thats not good news. i just pray it never happens to me. just wondering is that what it feels like for a bass each time it gets hooked? or are their senses different and they dont feel it as much as we do? because i know like a lobster doesnt feel pain when it is boiled because of a different sensory system.

The docter would poke it all the way through then cut below the barb and pull it out. And if you haven't had a tetnus shot in the last ten years (requried to enter 7th grade in Fla) then you need to go get one.

The string as mentioned by reb is how they do it around here too, or the doc. will cut ya and remove it...one thing ya learn is that the skin is real stretchy isn't it lol

My wife sat on a treble that was on one of my rods on the deck last summer. I had a heck of a time getting it out. String method wasn't working, I couldn't push it through to cut it, finally I grabbed it wil some pliers and pulled. Of course, she had more padding back there than you have on your toe

don't be a wimp..get a pair of vise grips,get a good grip and just yank that sob out..one shot,only hurts for a minute.

good god they practily had surgery.about 5 hours after i stepped on it my grandma arrives to take me to the hospital.after waiting in the waiting room for a hour and a half i get called in.they take my wheight,tempature then put me in a different room. i could barely walk and i had to wheel around in a wheelchair while in the hospital(that was the only fun part lol).finally 20 minutes waiting for the foot surgeon got there. i was afraid this dude didnt know what he was doin because he came in a micky mouse jacket. he came back in with docter clothes on and with two fine and i mean FINE nurses.he cleaned around my toe and then the nurses put 4 shots around to dull the pain.that hurt but nowhere near as bad as pulling on the hook.then they put another shot in my foot which really doesnt count because by then those shots dulled my entire foot and i didnt feel a thing.then he cut a square around the treble,then got what looked like a tackle bag and probblay had 45 scissor looking things except they had grip on them and not scissors and pulled that sucker out.didnt feel a thing after the 4th shot. the hook was 3/4 up my toe he said.the i had tecnus shot that hurt like hell.the shot didnt bother me but when she pushed the medicine in the body it hurt.
