Actually the biggest hazard I have seen over the years are big logs that are floating about 1 inche under the surface and you don't spot them until its too late, and the lower end of the prop hits them, plus the most common one is anglers that run and gun , and don't tie down thier rods, hit a big wake off someone elses boat, and OFF the rods go into the drink.
I can't emphasize the importance of getting rod hold downs installed on your boat deck. I knocked on rod off Dennys boat this weekend but the cork handle slowed it down from sinking fast, I saw it go in the drink and was able to snatch it , it had gone under about 10 inches, i happend to see it go in is why I got it, if not, I probably would had tried to run some heavy treble hooks over the area and hope to snag it...that works if your lucky :P |

Zook,
when all the hillbillies on the ohio river get flooded out, which is about as often as whenever someone in west virginia piss's in the river and it flows down to ohio... all the barrels and folding chairs and coolers come out in the river for days, plus sticks everywhere |
