I like to use a buzzbait when its raining........... But also try a weightless worm. I tend to have good luck with them when its raining. You might also want to try a firetiger colored crankbait or a spinnerbait......... A white or a pink fluke would also be another good bet..........

I would definetly start out chunking a spinnerbait. You might also try some topwaters.

even though it is not fun to fish in the rain sometimes it can be very rewarding. fishing in the rain is safe as long as it is not lightning, graphite rods are great attractors for electricity. the best type of rain to fish in is a light drizzle with drops just big enough to make makes on the water. this is also nice for you because you do not get wet as fast. the best lures are jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, or other minnow type baits.
