Default Reb, are you ready for WAR?

Your Aggies vs. my Orange. Take heart; we were the first team ever to lose to a 15 seed and last year got upset in the first round by Vermont.

Nah, Marty, basketball ain't my bag of worms-I hope we win but it doesn't really matter one way or the other.

WTL, we are going to surprise some folks this next season. Last year there was a LOT of dissention on the team due to a couple prima donna players that are now gone, and we have a real leader and team player at the QB position. Plus, Torchbush is gone as DC, and we were so bad on D last year that we can't get any worse.

Good night Reb, don't drink the coolaid!

There is a Prima Donna that is a problem in College Station. His name is Dennis Franchione.

Carl Torbush who you guys think was your problem, well he had a string of top #3 defenses at UNC and Alabama. I got news for you, the wrecking crew's problem wasn't Torbush, and it wasn't a lack of talent. Care to guess whose problem it was?

Really its getting sad. You guys deserve better for the most part. The fact that there is mass dissention on your team reflects on 1 man, as Coach Bryant would say - the man at the top. If something goes wrong, its his fault.

Everybody seems to have been royally fooled by CDF. He had a good year at Alabama, 10-2, and he was annointed the next legendary coach in football. But did you know that every coach at Alabama since Ears Whitword in the late 50s has had at least 1 10 win year? That includes Bryant, Perkins, Curry, Stallings, Dubose, Fran and Shula. Maybe, just maybe, we made Fran look a little better than he was.

I ain't drinking the koolaid. I'll give you an example, though:

According to the secondary players, they were told NOT to look for the ball, but to strip it fron the receiver when he goes to catch it-all season there were umpteen times if the secondary player would have just turned around we had a easy INT. You are right about it not being a talent problem-it is an experience problem. Our secondary was made up of true and redshirt freshmen going against mostly upperclassmen recieving corps. Now they have a year under their belt-time will tell.

Another sub-par season and there WILL be a change.

Torbush taught the same techniques here and they worked fine. He did the same at UNC, under Mack Brown - who aggies would have you believe is a bad coach. Now if the Tarheels under Mack Brown (a bad coach) had a top 3 defense every year that Torbush and Brown were there, and it aint Brown contributing to the defenses prowess...then it must have been Torbush who was just such a good defensive coach as to get that much out of his team.

I told you when Fran left Alabama that yall should have kept RC Slocum, and I get proven right every year.
