Beware of tha Big Bear.
For you that are planning fishing trips to the far North. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game is advising hikers, hunters, and fishermen to take extra precautions and keep alert for bears while in the fields and streams...Especially you Southerners. They are advising that you wear noisy little bells on your clothing so as not to startle bears that aren't expecting you. They are also advising you to carry pepper spray with you in case of an encounter with a bear...It is also a good idea to watch out for fresh signs of bear activity... And you should recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear droppings... Black bear droppings are smaller and contain lots of berries and squirrel fur... Grizzly bear droppings are much larger and have little bells in it and smells like pepper. And some of the griz poop have been found to have parts with the word shimano on it. So please know your bear poop before you plan such an event, and please be careful if while fishing there.
