The way he handles his fish? It seems like every good sized fish he catches he is stubbing his fingers up under the gill plates and it looks like he is hitting the gills or really bending the jaw down. I cringe every time I see him handle a good fish.

Or that stupid %*&%&)% hat? Or all the terible products that he pimps? Or that he usually films his show at private phosphate pits in Florida, where anybody would catch a big limit? Or that stupid, mother%&%*% hat?
Yeah, he drives me nuts.

Yeah, I can't stand him. He's always selling something, and I haven't learned much from his show. My favorite TV personality is Lindner.

I always liked his show simply because he mostly fishes those private lime pits and cathces those huge bass or at least he used to. He does for a fact "over play" the bass he cathces for television. I did catch the largest bass of my life 12.05 oz. on a lure I saw him use the Spence Scout. the episode was called "scoutin for bass".

well I love ANY fishing show, but prolly love his the least. as far as bass gills, they are a lot tougher than most people think. I've caught bass with torn gills just dangling and appeared to be dangling for some time as it appeared to be healing. our favorite fish is quite resilent.

I thought his daughter was cute.Of course I find most any woman attractive, but one that will go fishing is better. If only I could have gotten her in just a cowboy hat, Huh Laser ?

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with Bill-I enjoy his show. I just hate the way he handles his fish.

Personally I like Bill, and his show is OK, at least they show me nice bass when I'm not fishing. I used to fish a Private Coal pit, and he'd be stupid not to fish it LOL. I don't pay attention to his advetising plugs, and btw every show has those same plugs. Just different sponsors. Let's face it, he has done a ton for Bass Fishing, and has been around longer than dinosaurs. He's deserves a little credit. As for his handling of the fish, well never really thought about it, so next time I watch I'll have to keep an eye on him. But usually if I'm not working I'm fishing nowadays, since there isn't any snow or ice LOL.

Yep-Hank is on OLN. This morning he was fishing El Salto in Mexico (I think-was doing several things at once so not paying too much attention) catching a few big 'ol gooduns.

All the fishing shows are pimping a product of some sort, it's a boat, line, lure or a place to go. Bill has done a great job of offering many of us our first look at how some of these products work. I remember back in the 80's watching a video of Bill's called Dance-n-bass. Now his bass handling is another story. I have no clue on what bending the bass's jaw around is about, or pulling it's gils open. Thats not how I was shown to handle a bass and I have not seen anyone but him do that. Go easy on them Bill.

i think his fish handling looks worse than it really is.you never see blood from the gills so he can't be irritating the gils themselves.i actually enjoy his show quite a bit.
