How is it? Do you see a increase in catch rate by using it? Does the color fade? What color should I get it in?

I like it. Very strong braid, good handling qualities.
No real increase in catch rate - I'm landing more, but I think the braid might be a little more visible underwater thus slightly reducing my bites. The color seems to have faded some, but its not as bad as original spiderwire which would turn white. I didn't know they offer it in a color other than green. I might get a marker and start camoflaging the end of the line. |

its stronger than they say it is, you'll get fewer bites in open water, you'll land more fish, lose fewer lures, cast further, your fingers might be green after using it the first time or two, but your line will be a little bit lighter. I'd stick with the low vis green.

reb has gone 3 years last i heard...i have had mine on for a few months and other then changing knots its fine! i love the stuff...i havnt seen any decrease Â*catch rate...but i mostly fish muddy water....and heavy cover...i dont care to much for line visibility anyways.....but thats another story. its really strong, and i havnt lost but 1 lure......all the others i have just givin the rod a few jerks and its out! its very hard to cut....i cant cut it with my teeth....or my nailclippers.....i have to use a knife......but its well worth the money..... 8) alot of people also use it for saltwater......and that is a statement right there.....most saltwater fish have teeth....i have caught trout, bluefish...all sorts of teethy creatures and havnt had the line be cut 8)

So if I get the Power Pro What pound test would you guys recommend for worm fishing if I am going to use it on a BPS extreme 6'6" MH rod for worm fishing mainly. DO you guys use a mono backing and then spoll on the Power Pro or what?

you can either use a mono back up or do what i do and put a layer of electrical tape around the spool then put the PP on...either way what works for you....i have a 20lb test......on my spinning reel....works fine with everything....

I have heard stories of it going through the guides like spiderwire does will it do this? Also being no stretch should I use a lighter action rod so as not to snap mine.

I use the 50 lb because it has the same diameter as 12 lb mono. I do not use any backing, because the reels I use-BPS Extremes-have a whiffle spool, the kind with holes in it. Â*I just run it is one hole, out another and tie it off. Â*If you have a solid spool you can either put on a mono backing or do the electrical tape trick. Quote:
Use the same rod you always use-just don't set the hook as hard as you do with mono. |

Forgot to say when I do need to change it all I need to do is wind it from one reel to another and I get essentially new line-the stuff on the inside of the spool is now on the outside.

I noticed since switching to Power Pro that the bass I'm reeling in seems to get up on plain sooner.

I'm along with rebasser, I use 30# in 8# diameter. Haven't lost a lure yet(straightened a few hooks though) and I haven't seen any decrease in catch. I'll only use PP from now on.
