There hitting......
The walleyes that is , the bass have lockjaw lol
Just got back and had only 2 today, one on the xrap and one nice one on a big spinnerbait...thought that I could coax them with the jerkbait, but so far this xrap hasn't performed better than the rogue, right now the fish are hitting the crome n blue rogue, esp. walleyes. Its the same ol same ol of excuses too, super high pressure, etc, but I didnt think that would really effect our nice week of 70 degrees air tem and mid 60's water temp. Ended up the day flipping some shade spots with a punkin seed culprit ribbon tail, but no hits, felt a few thumps on the spinnerbait but they were not aggressive at all..ended up plowing for this neighbors farm the rest of the evening, so I plan on going tomorrow earlier, today was 4-7, maybe I can get a morning bite. Its still nice to get out though, and make a gazillion casts, even if the bass weren't to "user friendly" tonight..the ones I caught did pull pretty good, I am hoping they will go on a jerkbait bite before the spawn. |
