This line stuff is confusing...

As some of you know after some years of fishing I am looking to get serious about it. I have told me self I am going to start slow, by this I mean I am going to start with one set up and work with it in till I feel I need to add to the collection. I am going to start with a Worm/Jig set up, Falcon Original FC-5-166 Herm Special MH 12-20lb 1/4-3/4 6'6" with a BPS Extreme 6.4:1 reel. This set up will turn into a Worm rod only once I get around to a heavier jig rod, what do you think of the set up?

I have done searches on the site for line and I just get confused, although Iam thinking of putting Berkley Trilene XT 17LB Green. Maybe something heavier or Fireline?
