Flyrod and I hit the lake early this AM-going tomorrow, too, different lake-but no rock this time. The wind was bad, and it was a bit of an adventure with a 12 volt TM, but we managed. Tried a topwater when we first got there but no takers, so switched to a chartreuse/black back Bandit 100 crankbait and headed for the windblown points. All told we got 10 fish with both of us catching a cat-Flyrod on a chatterbait and mine on the crankbait. We had a few keepers including this one that went 4-7 on a handheld scale:
![]() Had a great time and looking forward to our next "adventure" ![]() ![]()

JB, that is HILARIOUS!
PnJ, here is one Flyrod caught last spring: ![]() Fishin_dude, that lake is great except when the wind is howling-like it was yesterday. Coming out of a cove slow we took one over the bow and I'm still drying the boat out. We did see the king(or queen) of the lake-a BIG gator, maybe 10 feet long-it was HUGE. We went out today to a different lake and just got a few dinks, but it was fun to get out!

Fly wheel, Who wrote owe You on your hat ? I would take a marker and put a line through it and write Paid in full on the hat. That way people anit wondering if they still owe ya or something .They might act weird towards you if they think they owe you and can't remember what it was ? P N J

Nice. That's a fine upgrade, from 8# rock to 4-7 bass.

I thought so. Much easier to get the bass in the boat, too

I agree, fish are alot better to catch than rocks. Oh, be sure to take a picture of the rock mounted on that piece of driftwood.
