The storms just passed through oHIo and I headed out about 7 this morning witha air temp of 61, dark with cloud cover and about a 16 - 20 mph sustained wind.. started out with a few on the big cuban (Spook),
then switched off and on with the popR and spinnerbait..the popR didn't yeild any fish off the flats(thats were the fish were last week)...the last few days they all have been suspended over 5-9 foot drops. After breaking off my anchor rope I was using to work some point, I started in with the horney toad catching lots of bass, but all small(13-14)inches..after about two packs of toads I took out that fishing glue that kevin peddles and tried it, only to stick my f/n fingers to the bottom of the toad LOL, I did discover that the toad stays on MUCH better to the hook, so thats a plus.. ended up back in the wind for last 2 hours throwing a crawdad/blueback minus 1, and all sorts of fish hit it, I applied that garlic carolina sauce on it, so now that I am home the wife thinks I must be having a "affair" with the lady Italian cook (the one with the faint mustach) at the grocery that always cooks with garlic rofl |
