Crankbaits, because they can used in most any water and weather conditions, and they just plain catch fish. lots of them.

Lipless crank is my favorite.
Of lipped crankbaits you may only get a few that produce. If you get one that will then don't use it on a regular basis. Check others out to see if they produce as well.
Had a Bomber green craw that produced very well. It ended up flying into the woods. Now I've got 6 or 7 that won't produce nearly what the first one did. Of all the cranks that I've got some are marked and some are not marked due to the fact that I haven't tryed them. Of those that I have tryed and they don't produce, then get put in a box of "scrubs"

Good point bassnman30. I love lipless cranks. I've bought some brands that aren't worth two cents. Stick with the more popular brands. I really like Rapala lipless cranks. Of course, I use RatLtrap as well.

My favorites are plastic jerkbaits, lipless cranks, spinners, other cranks, hard jerkbaits, and other plastics. They all produce well. It just depends on other factors. Notice, I did not list topwaters. To this day, they have not produced for me. Maybe, I'm not fishing the right place at the right time with them.

I really don't have one-I guess my favorite is what is working at any given time. I do throw Tiki Sticks, Yum Dingers, and Bandit 100 series crankbaits quite a bit this time of the year.

3 Inch plastic craw with added scent. Use a stand-up jig head as well.
