i would get a pop'r like yo zuri or somthing. some plastics like yum or powerbait, gulp or yamamoto or somthing and either so owner or mustad hooks. and some crankbaits or husky jerks or somthing. the clear crankbaits are working real well for me. good luck and happy fishing

I'd start with the basics. Â*For soft plastics I'd get some 2/0 and 3/0 offset shank worm hooks and some bullet sinkers ranging from 1/8 oz. to maybe 3/8 oz. Â*That will cover you for soft plastics, both for weightless and for a Texas rig worm. Â*For soft plastics I would start with just three colors: Â*Watermelon, watermelon red flake, and green pumpkin. Â*Those three colors will work in just about every condition. Â*I'd get some 6 or 8 inch worms, some soft stickbats like a Tiki Stick, and a shad imitating bait like a Zoom Super fluke.
Topwaters-surface baits. Â*I'd get a popper like a Pop-R and a Heddon Torpedo. Â*I like shad colors for the Pop-R and chrome/black back for the Torpedos. Hard baits: Â*I'd get a couple of lipless crankbaits like Â*Rat-L-Trap in chrome/blue back and a shad color called Smokey Joe. Spinnerbaits-I'd get a couple. Â*One with a single Colorado (teardrop shaped) blade for muddy water and one with a tandem setup-a Colorado blade in front of a willow leaf blade for stained water. Â*You also might get a buzzbait, a wire bait with a sort of wing shaped blade for using on the surface. Â*I use white during the day and black in darker/night conditions. That ought to get you started, and you will (not can ![]() |
