Default In weedy, unclear water, how to tell if bass are spawning?

I've had some hard luck trying to catch bass lately, and wonder if it is because they just finished spawning or whatnot.

The water is around 70 degrees, so it would seem logical that they may be finishing up. It's impossible to see if there are any beds due to the weed cover and the unclarity of the water.

I've fished deep and shallow without too much luck.
