cranky , never ask for that kinda personnel information, it
breaks the fishermans code.
with that in mind next time you step in to a tackle store, try to keep these
kind of comments to your self, such as:
"All right, whose going to be a sport and show me their favorite fishing hole?"
"Anyone know who owns the red pick-up out front that I just hit?"
About the shop's merchandise: "Look at all this antique tackle."
"Let me tell you about a fish I once caught..."
"What! No high-tech lures? How can you people catch anything?"
"One of you has got to be named Bubba...let me guess."
"You do take travelers checks, don't you?"
"Your rods look as if they were wrapped at the Lighthouse Project for the Blind."
About a picture hung behind the cash register: "Are those some ugly fish you caught or is that a family portrait?"
"I only use imported hooks."
"I need a new rod. Do you have anything in blue to match my reel?"
When a woman walks into the shop: "Want to see my lure?"
And never, ever say: "You call this live bait? Why, in New Jersey we..."

I like to plan my stategy , lay out and rig and pack my gear up.Then an half an hour later change my mind and rerig and repack everything only to second guess myself again. Finally I say the heck with it, and fish whatever I have packed and usually get angry at myself while figuring out what I can catch them on that particular day.The good stuff always seems to be left home for the day I need them. It sure is, Hef.

Cranky, like flamez says, it is always fishing season here, so mine goes on year round. I'm always going out and climbing in the boat putting somethhing in or taking something out. Matter of fact I just went out and switched from a black/blue jig to a watermelon pumpkin jig, and I won't be able to get out until next Saturday. Must be because I'm a bass fisherman .

The key is to think outside the box when it comes to fishin'. You should do likewise in preparation to the bassin madness. Its best for you to figure things out by trial and error.I was going to suggest some things, but I am not going to, just because. P N J

Never had a pre season. I fish 12 months a year when possible. Just put everything I can fit into my presidents bag. Then rent a forklift to load it on the boat.

I keep at least 3 rods ready to go all the time and have my tackle in a back pack so I can be ready to go in an instant any time of year, fl is great.

Doc, I can explain it to you, but it anit a pretty picture.Every night I kept having the same dream. Both of my great grandfathers were alive, which I never met in real life. They were walking on both sides of me as we walked down through the neighborhood naked. As my neighbors came out on the porch, I turned to run back to the house because I was naked, but my grandfathers kept a hold of my hands and led me further down the street not saying anything.I asked why must I walk down the street with no clothes on and have everyone come outside to laugh at me ? My great Grandfather Crane finally spoke to me. He said in order to catch many fish , you must have strong will power. You must be able to go beyond what is considered to be the standard, in order to be able to know how to catch many more fish when others can't.This same stupid dream visited me in my sleep every night. I would wake up from the dream while my mind was fighting having to walk down the road naked. The dreams went on every night until I allowed myself to walk the entire block naked, I ran into the house and put on two layers of clothing and when I went back out to my great grandfathers, They were gone.I have never had another dream since, where it involved my great grandfathers, but I can catch fish every time out. That is why I wasn't going to mention it.Maybe if you walk through the nieghborhood in person, you would be a better fisherman than I will ever be for walking naked through the neighborhood in my dream ? I do not beleive in that crap, but I cannot reach a solid conclusion for my dreams.I like to think it was from being a alcoholic, effected my brain. P N J

pnj,
For reasons which will be intelligible only after a consideration of my own investigations of dreams, I have isolated from the psychology of the dream the subsidiary problem as to whether and to what extent the moral dispositions and feelings of waking life extend into dream-life. The same contradictions which we were surprised to observe in the descriptions by various authors of all the other psychic activities will surprise us again here. Some writers flatly assert that dreams know nothing of moral obligations; others as decidedly declare that the moral nature of man persists even in his dream-life. The moral nature of man persists even in dreams. "But while we are not offended or made suspicious by an arithmetical error, no matter how obvious, by a reversal of scientific fact, no matter how romantic, or by an anachronism, no matter how ridiculous, we nevertheless do not lose sight of the difference between good and evil, right and wrong, virtue and vice. No matter how much of that which accompanies us during the day may vanish in our hours of sleep, Kant's categorical imperative dogs our steps as an inseparable companion, of whom we cannot rid ourselves even in our slumber.... This can be explained only by the fact that the fundamental element of human nature, the moral essence, is too firmly fixed to be subjected to the kaleidoscopic shaking-up to which phantasy, reason, memory, and other faculties of the same order succumb in our dreams"
hope that helps, but i reckon' yer dreamin due to those nanners' ya eat before beddy by time

Rebbasser suggested we have an Annual Parade Of The Virgins to mark the beginning of the pre-spawn period. Trouble was, we tried recruiting at YooTee in Austin. On the big day, one of the WrongWhorn virgins was sick and the other one wouldn't march without her.

So then we tried Texiz Aand/orM...

Got caught up in enjoying the greatest marching band in the world and forgot to recruit.
We tried Baylor...http://korkos.club.fr/wood-01grand.jpg but her daddy (the one with the pitchfork) said "No!"
Even tried Auburn and Oklahoma State!...http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...k_of_sheep.jpg
Finally, someone came through for us...http://www.oucheer.com/images/photos...angebowl23.jpg
