Briery Creek, VA

Well I finally got to make it out on Briery Creek on Monday....man what I have been missing for the last 5 years!!! I was told there was no top water bite, just plastics and shallow cranks around the shore line. Well after arriving it took me oh about 2 minute on the TM to figure out I needed to pick up the big crankbait stick and just start chuckin in the trees!! That was of course after I stuck a nice 6lber on a top water bait!!! Stayed in the creek channel with a DT-16 and a 3/4oz Fat Free Shad, my buddy and I stopped counting at 30 fish in the 1st hour!! Had 3 doubles, by that I mean 2 fish on one cast, I did it once and he did it twice!! All fish were in the edges of the creek where you found milfoil in about 17 feet. I will be going back to Briery Creek again real soon! It was a great day we only fished until about 11:00 and boated over 50 fish and only about 3 or 4 were under 14 inches long, most were in the 3 to 3 1/2 pound range. If you get the chance check it out!

hey can u put a boat on this lake? i am from wv and would like to fish it. if it has a limit on hp can u use a trollimg motor witht he motor trimed up

Mount, I put my BassCat on there. Yes it has a HP restriction of 9.5, but a TM is Good to Go!
