Default New guy here...

Hey guys (and gals),
I just stumbled in here and have been looking around a bit and it seems like a pretty cool place. I recognize a few names from other fishing and lure building sites I frequent.
I guess i'll stand up in front of the room and tell y'all a little about myself (which I always hate doing).
I live in La Grange, Tx. which is about 1 1/2 hrs. south of Austin. I fish Fayette County Reservoir a couple of times a week. I work shift work at the local power plant (which is on the lake) so I have off alot during the week as I only work 14 days a month.
I have a 1999 AStro X1850 bass boat with a Merc 175 EFI.
I have been building custom rods for the past 9 years and repair rods for the local tackle shop here.
I am married and have 2 boys ages 2 and 3 yrs. old.
I am a fishing junkie. Anything to do with fishing, lure building, or rodbuilding I'm into it!! lol
Well, thats about all I can think of right now. I'm looking forward to contributing to this forum in anyway I can and learn a few things and have a few laughs along the way.
Take care guys and i'll see ya around!!!!!!!
Noel

Thanks guys!!

JB,
The bite has really slowed down since its so hot here (Fayette County) now. We have been catching them on topwaters early and then moving out to humps and drop-offs mid day and chasing schoolies in the evenings.

Bassking,
I'm just starting to tinker around with cranks.

Topwaterguy,
Here ya go...

Great looking rods, I bet they fish great, and actually I'm a native Texan at heart, born in Amarillo, but somehow got stuck in Va.

JB, the Rebel Yell:

Straight from the source-it was recorded at the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg during a re-enactment of Pickett's Charge.
