Well it's been a while since I have posted anything, so I thought I would share a little story from a week ago. It's been quite hot up here some days so I said to my self "hey why not night fish after work?" so I get off work at PM and get to my fishing hole at 11:45. So we had a few good days of rain and the water table is up a good foot. So it started off a regular night edging around the pond catching the odd one here and there. So I thought I would hit my little secret spot on this tree that extends out into the pond. So when I get to this said tree the first 3 feet is under an inch of water, so I think to myself no problem I can do this.(WRONGO) should have stuck to my guns and said no way not tonight. But foolishly I start my way out onto the tree, after my second step I slip and fall and I fall hard perfectly side ways. so when I hit my ankles are on the tree I started on and my neck is on a tree running parallel with the one I was on. so there I am side ways on the two logs on my side with the water up to my nose half way covering my face. All I thought was I'm going to drowned in an inch of water and theres nothing any one can do to stop it. every time I went to push my self up my arm kept sinking through the mud and not finding any bottom. By some Divine intervention I got the strength to roll over and stand up. By this time I'm up to 3 feet in swamp gas, and feeling relief and embarrassed at the same time. So I swallowed my pride and went home. Scraped and bruised.
TIP OF THE DAY: always have a buddy with you when you go out he just might be able to save your life when you do something stupid like me. Robby.
