Crankin'

Denny an me just got off the lake after a relatively slow outing, we boated 7 keepers and had a few dinks, along with a couple of slab crappies.
My wrist is still sore from jerkin the xrap, but it is starting to produce. Today was the first sunny/partly cloudly day I've seen in about 6 days, wind from the east, and the bite has slowed down the last couple of days compared to the bonanza we enjoyed last weekend..

and also a DD22..threw a yozuri shadrap looking crank that looked awesome but all it gave up was the crappies ..denny got me 4-3 in todays match, he had a Yum brand fluke , that was whitish in color....
No top water bite, he threw the black buzzbait and I worked the spook, but nothing. all in all a nice day out, the fish that did hit were smaller than last week but still fought good. I started out with a creaturebait, I was flipping some downed willows and pulled out the first one of the day, but it didn't measure, just under 14 or so..
It still feels great to get the jerk bait back on, its my fav. way to catch them, esp when they about knock the rod out of yer hand.
