Just set up in Vancouver after a long and fun trip.
No bass arround here! Time to study fly fishing. Any suggestion? thanks. BTW, I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo greet to hear a goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood news from Kingston Humane Society! Both of my cats have found a new home, and the best part is they are still together. A kind old couple took both of them! Last edited by H2O; 09-16-06 at 01:10 AM. |

Cabelas has good rods/Reels. I picked up the Three Forks Last Year in a 8ft 5 wt, wiht the Prestige Plus Fly reel, combo went for 80 dollars. They also have the Genesis starters kit, it is 150 and comes wiht flies, fly line, etc etc

I started with a $15 St. Croix reel from cabelas and a Berkley Cherrywood flyrod 6wt. Go as cheap as possible at first, spend the money on flies and good line rather than a high dollar combo. Caught many a bream and a few small specs and I still use it see no need to upgrade.

are your sure you are not into having esp?? i got to thinking last night you know i aint tryied a fly rod in a LONG time.. this morning without turninng on the puter i picked up my brass twin tube-it holds 2 fly rods- and put reels on them.. i took them fishing this morning. i was using both a foam spider and a lil somthing i like to call andrea's crusher.. after 5 hours of playing around the total is 7 fish on fly tackle 1 war mouth 1 bass 5 brim. and on regular bass tackle 3 bass 1 warmouth.. baby bush hog strike again ![]() ![]() the one bass and warmouth were caught on "andrea c" 3-4 wt 12 foot orvis fly slicer. using 444 cortland lazer rocket taper reel by pflueger-medalist- all tipit was by white river -bps- floro 4 pound test. i kept these fish, all caught on a fly rod.. ![]() this rod is called"jacky b" a 9 foot fenwick 4-5 wt using 4 wt scintific angler air cell weight foward line. and the scientific angler reel. let go of my bug blasted brim..lol ![]() yes i know the plastic is still wrapped around the handle on "jacky b" the grip is a touch small thats why i left it on. when i bought the rod 18 years ago.. zooker
