Default This is what you miss out on when you go to work BENDER!

LOL, well bender is down here this weekend for work. We're getting together tomorrow for some fishing. I was hoping Bender could have made it out this afternoon but the silly guy must really like working. While he was messing with computers I was fighting with this fish. I couldn't get all of it in the pic, my arm wasn't long enough. The angle of the pic makes her look shorter than she was, 21 inches long and about 5 lbs. Mouth was big enough for me fist. Caught on a rattle trap.

thanks, I was really surprised considering I caught it about 15 feet from shore, and considering it swam right up toward me in muddy water (took a little bit before I could see the size). Didn't put up much of a fight, was swimming towards me most of the time, kind of fight I like while using rattletraps or anything while using trebble hooks.

I wish I was working on computers, I was completely covered in grease and hydraulic oil yesterday.
I think that picture is from last spring....j/k We had a good time today, but no fish. I did have a 3 footer with my popper in his mouth, but that was a gator. Rob had a 6' gator go after his huge popper. I missed four on horny toads too.
I am going to try to go back there tomrrow before I fly back to freezing Detroit tomorrow, hopefully I will have something to add here.
Thanks again Rob!

well maybe you can catch some that are bigger....than the gator . it was definately a tough day fishing. not much was moving in that water, even when the sun went down there wasn't ANY feeding going on the top either. i'm starting to wonder if the heat mixed with muddy water and dropping water levels caused low oxegen levels making the bass even more lathargic. hopefully you can make it down here again next spring. good luck and let us know how ya do tomorrow. it was good meeting you and hope we can do it again soon.

i didn't have the oppertunity. both trebles were hooked double (as in 2 of the 3 hooks of each treble were hooked) and in the solid portions of the lips. had the fish out of water too long taking the hooks out and by that time was more concerned with getting her back in the water, only had time for a quick pic, spent a longer time than normal "nursing" her back in though.

I didn't make it back out there yesterday, it was so hot. I did go to BPS in Orlando and got a Team All Star 7' heavy rod. Then when I got it back home the A%#@% from the TSA bent 2 of the guides. I watched them inspect it the first time and everything was O.K. when they put it back in the case and they put my rubber bands around the cap. When I got the case in Detroit the rubber bands were gone and the guides were bent. Other than that they had a good dinner on the flight.

I don't think that I have ever walked out those doors after spending $50. Last week with the online order and next day air for the rod case and other stuff I NEEDED then the trip to the one in Orlando, well, I would rather not say. I am proud that I didn't buy that Curado reel I was looking at. But after seeing a Lucky Craft in action last weekend I figured I better try that so, $$$.
The crapped of th whole situation is that I get home and it is 40 degrees and raining here. I am afraid bass season is nearly finished. Come hell or high water I will get a few more days out on the water this year between the weather and all of the travel I have scheduled.

I just got one Slender Pointer, then a Rapala DT-10 and a DT-16, and a few Bomber ones as well. Then rod socks and reel covers, new trebble hooks, some methiolate trick worms, some other plastics, etc.
