Nada zip zero fish caught. OH well. They just turned off Sunday night. Tide was right and bait was fresh enough. Just had water temps come up 3 degrees during the day and it shut them down.
Second zip this year in 68 trips. Now the odd part of being zipped "It was the same client as my other zip" Man is he bad luck or what. Had a great time at the ramp as a smalll twenty boat bass tournament was coming in and three older than me men where attempting the Bayliner 45 minute record breaking launch. They finally push off and it was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. You just can not look away. They could not get the motor started and the waves from every boat over 30 foot pushed them into the rip-rap. Bam crunch bam and then they start the motor and attempted the tricky power thru the rocks routine. Motor at half throttle and all the way down they tear half the prop off. Tilt motor up and out of water at half throttle and they are off to fish and good ridence. Later that night at 10:30 pm I come in and trailer my boat and they are being towed in. OK so now it gets weird. They ram the end of the dock and split the ladder into pieces. Un-hook the tow rope and tie up. The awfull backing skill of the driver of a Hemi powered brand new Dodge truck jack knifes the trailer and busted the the tail light. So trailer finally in water and they start the Bayliner up unhook from the dock back up and spin around to attempt the drive on trailer trick. Missed three times and then hand cranked in on. My question is why did they need to be towed in?? Got me.. Capt Mike
