Default Today, i Defied Skunkage!!!

I just got back from holmdel park. I met up with a kid from another forum, Darren Kong, known as Jerkman102 on BDO. Well anyway, he caught 19 bass this mornign and I immediately begged mom to take me, since Darren's dad would be there and he could watch us. First cast, a bite. second cast, even harder, same spot. Third cast i actually reeled it in until it flopped off right in front of me. man was i pissed. Then darren came along and gave me a bigger hook (i was using one that was like right on the bait, a small bend). And then i proceeded to catching this the next cast:

Close up:

My reel actually stopped spinning when i set the hook on that, i had to hand line it in.
Then darren caught one:

Then me!

isn't she a beauty?
Then came numero tres

And this guy next to us caught a mammoth bluegill... looks small in the pic

Then darren again.

In total, i caught 4, he caught 6 (he got like 2 in a row right before i left) we wasted time fishing frm the docks, when the first spot was really holding them. he casted twice on the way back, where we were first fishing and nailed wo nice ones. But we had a nice day

Oh and i got bassthumb!

It looks like you are reading the fish in the first pic its Miranda rights. j/k
Looks like you had a great time! Is that the same place you usually go? What were you using?

yeah, i learned a bunch. i acutally looked thru the water, nociting the depth, nice spots... and i searched. I was using a wacky rigged senko. i caught 4 of my fish on the senkos, 2 on killies. I had to do something with my uglystik/stradic combo.

But yeah, It was great. i haven't bassed in so long. I think the rain helped a bi. it was windy adn the surface was rippled ith raindrops, i wanted to use a spinnerbait but didn't have one. so i used a pumpkinseed senko first, then a black one. Same place i always go. But i only fished that acual spot a few times... it was so shallow i had no idea it held bass

WTG on your new personal best. Bass will feed shallow more often than you think. Again congrats.
