well dispite the sickness that has come over me, im gunna go fishin. i feel better so i think i'll be ok. im gunna go over to the area by the golf coarse, and try to find some new lakes to fish. it will also give me a chance to try out my new president rod/reel. also the shimano rod that i bought for the reel PNJ is sending me. i'll be using the trion for that rod today. i was looking thru all the tackle that lizards sent me awhile back, and i saw some of those plastics that looked like the sweat beaver, i guess they are the wooly hogtails? anyways, im gunna try out those along with some flukes and the ultimate jig. so i hope to have a good report for you all when i get back.

Good luck but don't push it. If you do it will only take that much longer to get well.

oooooooooooooooooo what a day!!!!!! ;D went out there with a black/blue ultimate jig w/a blue craw on it on one rod/reel, and a tiki dipstik in green pumkin/chartruese tail on the other rod/reel. first of all, let me just say that the pflueger president rod/reel combo is a GREAT combo!!!! i started throwin the dipstick, and had a hit but i didnt set the hook :P before i say the rest, just note that now im a believer in jigs ;D so i take the jig and cast it to a down tree and wham, first bass 4.5 lbs, thencast out again let it sit, then start to reel in, another good 5lb'er. now i move and decide to try out pitchin. first i practice alittle and pitch it about 10' away from me. i reel it in and start to get the hang of it, then i do it again with no intention of catching a fish(i was practicing) and hit the same spot. i start to reel in and the rod is almost ripped from my hand. this is a HUGE fish!!! i get it in and weigh it, solid 8lbs

then the golfers on the otherside of the lake start clappin. i gave them the thumpbs up and showed them the big bass and released her to fight another day. so i go back to the dipstik, nothin. so i go to the jig, get 6 more ranging from 5-6lbs. now i go to another lake and cast to a cove. nothin. i cast again and i almost fall into the water with this strike

i fight this one in and weigh her to be just under 9lbs. i had a total of 7 fish on the day, ALL on a black/blue ultimate jig with a blue craw trailor on it. i have pictures of the 2 8lb'ers that i will get sometime today or tommoroww. they arnt good due to the fact that its a camera phone and i only have one hand to take the pic with, but you can still see them. they were long to. im going out tommorrow but i dont know where.

Marty, Thanks for the chart you sent me.You and I should fish together at least once this summer, I don't care whether its a lake or pond. 002 Has a local made bait not sold in NY state ,but they work really well here.I certainly am glad we reached an agreement so I can fish them once again. 002, the ultimate jig credit goes to IL Bassin.He is a very knowledgable fisherman and a great friend. IL, I just tied a lunker lure triple rattleback on for tomorrow morning instead of the ultimate jig.02, I am glad your catching some great fish,it just might be a remedy for your illness. ;D Remember to drink more water than usual, until your completely over being sick.P N J

before telling how my day was, i just want to say that i found out that my scale is broken :P so those 8lb'ers could have been something else. i'll psts pics and let you guys decide. i dont have the pictures yet. today i went out and caught about 6 bass. im guessin that they were from 1lb-7lbs. i caught the first bass on a zoom super fluke and im guessin it was 7lbs. it put up a hell of a fight. then i caught some dinks and i caught a few more with size. PNJ, i caught a nice 3-4lb bass on that pear lokin jig you gave me with a mizmo tub as a trailor. then i got antother nice 6-7lb bass, i didnt get a pic because it was hooked deep and i took long enough to get the hook out so i didnt want to make it stay out of the water longer then had to. then i was settin the hook on a bass when SNAP, broke the rod :P i was pissed to because this is my new rod that came with the president reel >

so im gunna take it back to the store and get another one. now i was trying t get this bass in and i got it close to me and i wrapped the line around my finger to pull it up, bad idea, and i got a huge gash in my finger now. note- dont wrap braid around your finger :P i went on tho catch a few more dinks with the other rod\reel. i will have all the pictures posted soon. you guys can tell me how big you think they were. my scale was showing that everything was in the 8lb range, even a small fish

s i have to get a new scale. :P anyways, the pics will be posted soon.

now this bass kept staring at me, it looks like it was bedding, but it wasnt, that was a tilapia bed. that bass chased it off. [img width=100 height=100]http://photobucket.com/albums/y88/baller43091/th_69664069125_60.jpg[/img] i think it might have ben the same bass as the one i caught in the first picture, because it was in the same area, and when i casted the jig out, the bass swam off in that direction.
these bass were caught on saturday with a black blue ultimate jig, im not sure the size, the scale said 8lbs, but it was broken. so i'll leave you guys to guess:

002,I do not know how to enlarge the pictures, Marty told on a post ,but I couldn't find it. Email him if you want to learn.The green pear jig is my favorite jig.I never used a tube bait as a jig trailer before, I might have to try that this summer,I used to use 8" lizards alot until I ran out of them.I did it just to prove when your flippin and they are biting good,it doesn't matter what you put on the jig and get it in near a fish they will bite it. ;D P N J
