Default Abu Garcia Revo S reel

I am very impressed, It sits extremely low on the rod, cranks smooth and casts extremely well. The S model I have is the cheapest of the revo line at $99.99, but I couldn't be happier with it.Abu redesigned their centrifugal weight system to a 6 pin system that works extremely well,9 bearings, 6.4:1 gear ratio, with 14 lb Stren heavy cover line it pulls 27 3/4" per turn. This reel anit your ordinary Abu reel. Would you reccomend a Ambassadeur? I don't know if I'd trade my Pfleugers, Quantums, or Daiwas for anything else though!

VA- Any day. An ambassueduer is a very nice reel, comparable o a daiwa. I'd trade those quantums in for abu's, pfluegers or daiwas....

If your talking about a Revo reel, yes I would highly recommend an Abu. The only other abu I like is the Torno's.If you buy another abu , make sure it has the 6 pin centrifugal weight system on it, not the older systems. P N J

The revo sits as low on the rod. Its very small, much like most high dollar reels are very simular in shape and size.I am in awe every time I cast it, caught some green fish tonight on it , 3.5 lbs being the biggest, but it is so smooth cranking the fish to the boat and the drag works smoothly.I think its one hell of a reel for the money.Zooker, you ought to see the magnum sized gears they put in these reels, heavy duty all the way.I am thoughly impressed with it.
