well it sounds like zooker and me had the exact same day fishing, up here it had rained all night and then today was sunny and 80!
Started out in 5-8 feet of water throwing the muskie colored 5 inch rogue, it looked sweet but no takers, so I went back to the red cordel spot that worked so good last week(rattletrap but cordel) Got 2 in a 1/2 hour fan casting, but barely legal. Spent some time dropping a senko on the shady side of some vegetation and also hydrilla humps, but nothing bite.. As I was telling zooker, I had one on a manns minus one, and dragged it over some timber, and about 1/3rd of the paintjob peeled right off! The plugs not even 6 months old yet! Other than that I had some homemade jumpjigs made up for crappie, but only caught a dink bass, I guess I need to let the water cool down somemore before the crappies go nuts , I am wanting to have some fillets on the grill! |
