Well I just got home with my new Flippin, and Pitchin rod. It's a 7'6" Heavy, Moderate-Fast GL2 G-Loomis. I looked all around, and they had some St Croix's and this Rod, plus a bunch of off name brand stuff, for the size I wanted. I chose this one for several reasons.
1. Retractable, so it will fit in my rod bag. 2. It was actually more flexible at the tip, than the St. Croix MH rods. 3. It has a grip and handle length that I like alot, the St Croix has just to long of a handle once you get past the 6'6" size. 4. It said Flippin stick on it ;D 5. I wasn't going to buy a $50 rod, I now know the difference and theres no comparison. 6. I truly do like the GL2's for the price you can buy them at. Not as good as the REAL G-Loomis's but a good substitute for my first one. 7. I needed to get one asap to practice, next tourney is 5/14. So now go ahead and berate me. ![]() Any input form anyone is appreciated. 1. Shimano Curado B200SF 6.2:1 2. Shimano Curado B200, not SF 6.2:1 3. Pinnacle Carrera Titanium SF 6.2:1 4.
