Crappie Season

I live in FL so the specks are gonna be hitting real good, real soon, i have only fished for them one season and all i have used are live minnows, any suggestions on what else would be good for them?

you can also get crappie jigs, and my favorite is a crappie spinner bait.

Rob,
I made up some crappie spinner baits with a 1/32 jig and power grub, but just can't get them to hit it yet, I may have to resort to minnows.
Most guys on the lakes here use 1/32 or 1/16th crappie jigs with the tube, like pink and white, orange, chartruse...I have the best luck with minnows.
