for those in the know:FYI
today i fished with up and coming outdoor writer michael hunt.he wanted to show me a prototype lure that he has been doing good with.mike shows me this lure and i say"i know it's the infamous WB and i've seen them before".he says"look closer".well other than the strange colors i didn't see any difference from the ones i saw previously.turns out the this was the NEW IMPROVED WB.the changes are pretty subtle.instead of weighing a half ounce they now weigh 37/64ths oz.then he explained the reason for the weight difference.all the hardware is now surgical steel.the hooks are sharpened with water somehow.and the best part is they now have a sealed battery/chip inside which makes the decoder unnecessary.
they come in only 2 finishes..florida scuppernong and canidagua goby. they are supposed to be introduced at next years show. mike gave me one....

Some of us aren't in the know and need to be hit in the back of the head by a 2x4. WB????
Been away for a while....busy at work and no time to play online...but now I'm connected at home and can hop online every once in a while. Caught 20+ bass last weekend on Anna. Good day on the water. |

Some are left to guess, while others just know. Thanks for the low down on the down low of the WB. I'd be afraid w/ the chip in it that they may use that to track people down.

Tommy, You've got some connection, I just got a call from WB last night. I am getting to fish a proto type Canandaigua goby lure since I live 20 minutes from Canandaigua lake. I am excited even though its getting cold, was snowing here again this morning, the bronzebacks will be shallow. BTW Tommy, I knew you gave them my name to try the bait. Thank you, your the best. You made a joke? I almost took the time to explain the decoder chip process to you, but I suspect your just picking on Cranky, who hasn't been in the know about the WB lures.I admit when they first came out they were advertising them as a military secret.I laughed , said yeah right. Well come to find out the military did indeed issue them as part of their survival pack for air force pilots and special forces units. The lure does catch fish every where I have fished them so far. What about the warthog urine? Is there a dispenser? And also, did they send Benjamin Dover, Mike's photographer to collect it during this years rut?

Wouldn't you know it. I got my WB package today, as always seems to be the case when you want it now, its always late getting there, but thats not all. The no good stupid MFers must have scanned the package contents and screwed the decoder system up in the lure.I can't get the thing to quit flashing the error code. They are taking this terrorist bullsh*t too far when they snoop through the mail and F*** up a real good fishing lure.Tommy, thanks for the effort, I did get a WB field tester promo Tshirt and Hat in the package as well.I hope I can get the lure reset, or get a new one to test. For those of you who are going to order the new WB lure, you might want to see what type of shipping options you have, in case the dumb SOB's want to ruin your day too.
